A collaboration with Dry and Bitter Brewery from Copenhagen, Denmark. A solid base of pale ale malt, generous additions of rye malt and roasted barley lend this stout a ton of complexity. Feel yourself hover above the ground, feel light and airy just like you would with the Danes. This beer is what you want to feel like a light has been turned on inside your body, let yourself be illuminated with the power of a Danish stout. Cheese danishes are not included, bring your own.

this is a weird one, on tap at klines in arvada, but we have come to expect weird beers from these guys, and this one continues the trend pretty well. there is a ton of rye in it, i get that in the nose, the taste, and the mouthfeel, so they werent subtle with it, it stands out even in a beer this dark and big and heavy on roasted barley and specialty dark malts, its a lot of earth and low end, but it works pretty well. i think its a little flat, thats a big knock against it for me, syrupy textured a as a result and unresolved, although there is a round smoothness to it that i do like, not harsh at all from the rye. pepper, rye, and licorice in the taste, some burnt coffee, stale coffee, coffee grinds, that kind of thing, and a booze burn to be reckoned with. nothing about this is light, despite the name, its a wintery meal in a glass, a sharer even as a small draft. dark cocoa left on the palate, grain husk impurity sort of grittiness too, although i dont hate that rawness. cool beer, but a one and done without a doubt. wintery all the way, intoxicating to say the least, filling but good. i like these guys a lot, and have never seen this one around anywhere else...
