750 ml bottle, no dating on it that I could find. Barrel aged smoked Adambier style collaboration ale with Freigeist. Served in a Great Lakes Brewing snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch cola-like brown head that fizzled away quickly. Pretty much no lacing at all. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like vanilla, chocolate, roasted malt, whiskey and some smokiness. The brew tastes like smoke, sour grain, whiskey, blackberries/dark fruit, wood and roasted malt. The sourness is noticeable but not strong, and the smokiness isn't strong either. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good and unique brew, definitely worth picking up if you've never had it before. $14.99 a bottle.
