Bo & Luke (Chai Latte)

750 ml bottle, brownish wax capped. No dating that I could find on the bottle, I've read things online saying it was a 2019 release. Purchased at the brewery last month. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. I like the aroma, the brew smells like chai spices, smoked/burnt malt, vanilla, bittersweet chocolate and earthiness. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some bourbon, oak and a bit of licorice. Barrel character isn't very strong. Starts off sweet/chai tasting, and then has a roasty bitter finish. The chai stands out in both the aroma and taste. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, but would recommend it more to people who like chai.
