16 ounce can, canning date is smudged so I can't tell what it says. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both pretty good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark chocolate, candied oranges, burnt/charred malt, coffee, vanilla and some bourbon. I think the taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's some earthy and caramel flavors noticeable too. I think the dark chocolate and orange flavors (well, more so the orange) stand out here without dominating the others. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and creamy with a good amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, certainly worth trying if you get the chance!

The iconic Kentucky brewed Imperial Milk Stout of Against the Grain gets a bit of a wintry greeting with both chocolate and orange

70K Chocolate Orange pours with a light sandy tan froth above a nearly black stout that settles slowly into the glass. As a sultry and bright scent of chocolate, citrus, whisky, oak and earthy aroma swirls about the nose, the flavors lead with chocolate, coffee, toffee, caramel and vanilla with a smooth and silky texture.

As the sweetness stews away on the middle palate, the more coffee-like influences from roasted grain bring a toasty, cocoa and coffee character that swells above the flavors of milk chocolate. A bold flavor of valencia orange pulls from the early perfume and provides a bright citrus note. Mossy, gamy and earthy in its barrel portrayal, theres a soilish musk that permeates the late palate and gives the session and unclean flavor and feel.

The citrus that provides an overcast of brightness and tang continues to grow into the finish for a sensation of chocolate dipped orange with a hint of whisky in the beer's waning flavor. Full bodied, creamy and earthy, the barrel aged stout lingers with musty woods and a general off-clean mossy character.
