There can be no light without dark, there can be no good without evil and there can be no Ying without Yang. You've spent your whole life drinking the Ying of beers, now grab our Yang and experience the dark side of pils. We brewed this smooth lager using dark malts to provide a balancing bitterness that will make your taste buds go bump in the night. Our brewers actually brewed it in complete darkness, with blindfolds! Seriously though, one sip and you'll get tunnel vision for this beautiful black lager. Stay away from the light!

Black in color with a three-finger, light tan head. Aroma is deep roasted grains. Taste is also deep roasted grains with a malty taste upfront and in the middle with a light char bitter finish.

A solid dark, or rather, black lager...
When they say this is black, they mean black, and I mean blacker than the inside of a cow (or as my mother used to say, in Cuban-Spanish, the mouth of a wolf). Anyway, it has a slightly malty smell to go with the light roasted grains that were no doubt used. Mouthfeel was super carbonated - detracted from the overall experience, but it did have a full-bodied taste and it was true to it's 5% ABV advertisement. It does make for a unique sessionable brew...

Pours a dark brown color with a minimal head that lasts quite a while. Aroma of caramel and roasted malts. Taste is slightly sweet coffee and roasted malts. An interesting brew.

16oz canned 09/05/2022 (3 months ago) poured into a becher glass at fridge temp 5% ABV per label. The beer pours very dark brown with light brown head and chestnut highlights. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. Slight lacing. The aroma is mild with char and bakers chocolate. The taste is bittersweet malt with notes of char, very dark chocolate and coffee. Moderate bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Cleanly lagered. Overall, good.
