Served in a Great Lakes shaker pint glass at Local Option.
Apparently this was brewed specifically for Chicago Craft Beer Week, using the City's love of hot dogs as inspiration. Fair enough. It pours a clear sunrise copper topped by a finger of light tan foam. The nose comprises black pepper, rye bread, lightly-toasted wheat, greens, and light toffee. The taste brings in more of the same, along with a splash of grapefruit rind. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sort/kinda dry finish. Overall, a nice, potent-feeling Vienna. 'Nuff said.
