Tap at Armsby Abbey
Pours a big creamy fluffy head fades semi slowly from the 1 finger with sticky lacing over very clear tan honey orange colored beer.
Nose light lager crispness and hints of lager fruit, hint of pilsner malt like straw malt, plenty of grassy slight earthy noble ish hops, and a creamy steam beer like profile.
Taste starts with a big grassy hop kick, slight herbal and earthy with a decent bitterness that is strong for a typical steam beer. Then light soft lager like malts with a bit creamy and light crispness. Almost airy mild sweetness and smooth. Finish is fairly bitter with big grassy earthy slight herbal hop that really lingers, little dry but little sticky.
Mouth is med bodied creamy and soft steam like. Decent carb.
Overall pretty good. A bit too hoppy but a nice flavor and aroma.
