10 oz. pour into a snifter at Closed for Business on King St. in downtown Chatleston, drank over 30 minutes:
A: 3/3 - deep brown-to-black coloration, received with a creamy, tannish one finger head that persisted through the majority of the drinking; large alcohol legs
S: 10/12 - rich roasted malt and coffee/espresso character; some background stone fruits and alcohol; no hop aroma; no perceived flaws
T: 17/20 - the taste matches the nose; there is a coffee/espresso bitterness that hits first and develops into a more complex malt character with dark chocolate, dark cherry and sherry; some alcohol detectable but doesn't tasteless a 9%er; finishes dry with lager-like cleanliness
M: 4/5 - medium-to-high body; some malt and alcohol presence; high carbonation
0: 9/10 - really nice Baltic porter from an unknown entity previously; curious to try some of their other beers now
TOTAL - 43/50
