On-tap at Northdown. Served in a snifter.
A - Looks the same as the regular version, which is a good thing.
S - Smells nearly identical to the regular version, with perhaps only the faintest hint of cherry to it. If I didn't trust Northdown so much, I might have guessed they erroneously tapped the same keg.
T - The taste is also quite similar to the oak version, but with perhaps a hint of astringent cherry skin. I had been hoping the fruit would impart some sweetness, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Less oak perhaps.
M - This one seemed a bit creamier in body and less dry and oaky.
D - A very similar experience to the base beer. Not enough cherries or not enough time? Skippable, unless you're really into charry Scandinavian beers.
