Cloudy dull yellow in color. Lemon wedge on the side (thanks). Thin layer of head died quickly. Aromas are quite fruity, with bannanas dominating. Flavor sees some of the bannana as well, with a grainy (not "wheaty") consistency that turned me off somewhat. Finishes on the dry side. Not much yeasty at all to be tasted. Slightly thin and not terribly drinkable.

The typical Bavarian appearance remains intact with the exception of its fairly short-lived head. Thankfully, I was served my pint with a slice of lemon on the side in a plastic cup or I might have missed the very nice note of lemony tartness that's in the aroma along with some phenolics (plastic) and a light touch of banana and clove. The body is light and it's crisp in the mouth with a very fine, standard carbonation. The phenolic/plastic characteristic returns in the flavor amidst a grainy wheat malt base that's backed by a very low-key bitterness; and although the banana and clove flavors are restrained here as they are in the nose, it's still quite nice. The yeastiness is not overdone and it lets alot of the malt character show through. Crisp and refreshing, but still very interesting. Nicely done!
