Poured a crystal clear gold with a frothy white head.
Aroma is kind of odd and weak. I get resin, floral, and a touch of earthy notes. Floral and spicy noble hop aromas seem to take the forefront, along with a bit of AAL style corney aromas. Really not getting IPA from the aroma.
Getting a some citrus and pine in the flavor, but it's much stronger with the noble hop flavors. Finishes a bit earthy. Bitterness hits kind of harsh. Sweetness is pretty high and lingers. Not a pleasant beer and it really doesn't come across as an IPA to me.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and a touch sticky (the theme of the last few beers I've reviewed). Carbonation is north of moderate.
Overall, this does not achieve the style it is going and is an obvious attempt by a macro brewery to emulate craft beer. It reminds me of what I've read about when Anheuser-Busch tried to create their own "craft" beers to keep up with the early craft beer boom.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
