Appearance: Dark black with very little head and a bit of nice lacing.
Smell: Alcohol and a slight chocolaty aroma.
Taste: Dark roasted malt flavour, well-hopped, and has notes of chocolate and presence of sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-heavy body with light carbonation and a smooth, dry finish.
Drinkablity: A really nice beer. A great attempt at the style and a nice example of what Asahi can offer.
Serving type: bottle purchased from the Asahi Suita Brewery near Osaka.

Appearance: Pours thick and black. Sits in the glass ominously with a minimal, brown head.
Smell: Heavy aroma upon pouring. Alcohol, cherry and heavy malt presence. Nice blast of hops as well.
Taste: Roast malt, alcohol and a touch of sugary sweetness. Good hop presence in the finish to dry it all out.
Mouthfeel: Medium-heavy body. Mostly still, but has a bit of carbonation activity. Dry finish.
Drinkablity: A brilliant Asahi brew. Very well crafted. I will seek out this beer as much as I can.
