Mangata Beer Co.

Our visit here was just to try their beers. The brewery is located along a semi-busy highway with a direct entrance to limited parking at the rear. (Not far from Funcra Brewing or Seedz Brewing) A beer garden is situated at the front. The interior is smallish, but they were not busy when we were there on a Saturday afternoon and seating was not an issue. A small bar has seating for 6, plus there are three long community tables and a couple small tables. I liked the vibe. Service was at the bar, and was good.

Sampler flights are not available but their serving sizes are 0.3 or 0.5 liter. It appears that the brewery tends to specialize in Euro beer styles, although a couple of regulars were also available. They have side pour faucets, a couple beer engines (sadly no beers were on the beer engines when we were there) and a nitro tap. Nine beers were available plus a 'cocktail' seltzer. We chose to order a couple 0.3L pours and bought a couple 4-packs to go (German and Czech pilsners) to be rated at home so that we could experience a larger variety. The Fall Saison is an oak-aged farmhouse style and was outstanding, and the Mannered English Amber was also very good. I haven't yet tried either of the two 4-packs (a Czech and a German Pilsner) to comment here.

No food is served here but some packaged snacks are available. Since this brewery makes some Euro styles they compliment Seedz Brewery not far down the road. We'd like to come back to this brewery some day to try more of their beers.
