I dropped in at brand-new brewery Friends and Neighbors a couple weeks ago while passing through Kingston. They’re in the former spot of Downpour brewing, so the décor and vibe is pretty much the same — picnic tables inside, with a very vacation-cabin type of feel, and you can see the brewhouse right there by the taproom.
They had 9 of their beers on tap plus a few guest beer options as well. Styles included 3 IPAs, a Cascadian dark ale, two pale ales, an Irish dry stout, a brown ale, and an amber ale. The beers I had were pretty decent, not too bad, but not groundbreaking. I definitely want to return to Friends and Neighbors as they mature as a brewery, though. They’re very close to the Kingston ferry dock so are a convenient place to stop if you are going through town that way.
