Side A Brewing - Tasting Room

i did not realize these guys opened a second location, only knew the old firehouse downtown. not sure if they are still brewing there or not, but they have a lovely brewery setup behind the service area here, that i was able to check out on my visit, and the beers seemed vastly more ambitious and better executed than when we visited the original location many years ago now, cool to see such progress, and cool that the small community here can support two spots! this place will rule when the weather is nice, lots of picnic tables and outside spice. in the winter its a somewhat sparse but still comfortable modest taproom with a neat bar setup, ample seating, a pool table, and a sort of dim lit low key vibe. the space is fine, beer is the focus, i dig that, and its comfortable enough, a mellow hang. loved the beer list, and was impressed with a fruited gose, a new saison, and a long rye barrel aged big stout, more than a dozen total options though, seems like they have made some major strides on the beer side. service was outstanding, generous with samples, informed, genuinely excited to have us in, a great look for a place like this. they have a really good thing going here, and the people of this area are lucky to have a brewery like this, i will eagerly look forward to my next visit, had no idea they were on this level now, they have grown up a lot, well done guys! chill spot, great beer list and service, a highlight of our recent trip out that way...
