L- Dark amber, clear, 3mm fine white head. Holds well.
S- Not distinctive to me, I struggle to ID anything much, though nothing negative either.
T- Quite hoppy dry with some subtle fruity notes.
F- It has a bit more body than a typical 4.6%, that could be down to a higher carb content, don't know. Somewhat brisk hopping makes it a refreshing beer.
O- It's drinkable but isn't anything notable or one I'd look out for in future. Bought from Sainsbury in London in a large 660ml bottle, priced at £1.85 BB: 30/04/2020
----------- Heineken Group bought out the Scottish brewery Caledonian, and now sell this 'apparent joint-venture' under the marketing name 'Maltsmiths'. It's still Heineken's contact info in small-print on the back of the bottle though, since 'Maltsmiths' seems to just be a marketing spin suggesting some 'craft collaboration', er within the same company. It hasn't near the character that a good genuine pilsener has, not lists any hop types, never mind the Bohemian ones you might hope to see.
