Pours a hazy, very fizzy dark gold, with a foamy but full and peaked dark-cream coloured head. Coppery, yeasty banana funk on the nose, with cloves, mace and cinnamon. More mild on the tongue, some orange peel with a very clean hoppy development. Finishes sweet and sticky.

Copenhagen 12/11 2020. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. As “Schneider Weisse Helle Weisse Weissbier Tap 01”. Schneider Weisse’s usual label design with diagonal yellow stripe.
Pours slightly unclear, golden yellow with a small white head. Extremely bubbly. Disappears completely after a minute. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of wheat malts, perfumed lemonade with a light touch of citrus.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate sourness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a light sour touch. A bit watery. Lingers shortly. Finish is semi-dry.
Refreshing but a bit generic Weissbier.

Half liter bottle dated best by 14.09.24 picked up at a getrankemarkt in Stuttgart. I had high hopes for this but it’s a bit underwhelming and disappointing. Especially compared to the Andechs Weissbier Hell, which was world class. Aromas and flavors are there but a bit thin and flat. Bummer. Good but not great.

This is a beer that could be your friend all night long. Nice cloudy thick weisen. Good clove flavor, some banana, wheat, a little malt. Great beer.

Light and refreshing. Maybe a little too subtle for it's type but otherwise excellent

Poured a500ml can into a pint glass. A two finger white head on a cloudy dirty peach. The head soon diminishes to a thin layer.
A bready smell.
Cloves and banana taste. Minimal hops.
A light body and medium carbonation.
A light refreshing weizen.
