Handsome coppery-red brew with adequate foam in the Orval chalice. Some roasted grain taste with a modest malty sweetness. Mild astringent, green, and stemmy notes in the finish. No actual hop flavor. Overall this is a workmanlike Red Ale with just enough of the distinctive malty Irish style flavor. Quaffable with a bitterish aftertaste. Light body with plenty of spritz on the tongue. From the 12 oz can purchased at the beer store in Bellingham. Dated 02/02/26.
