Copenhagen 1/5 2026. 50 cl can from Cherry Kiosk, Værnedamsvej, Frb. C. Metallic turquoise can with the name of beer and brewery in white letters.
Pours clear dark amber with a small white head. Stable Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with metallic alcohol. Caramel and toffee. Dark bread and a hint of brown sugar. Sharp boozy scent.
Medium strong carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft yet lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a rather strong sweetness followed by a medium strong rough bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a bitter undertone. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Carlsberg's first and most potent Christmas Brew.

December 2002: 330 ml bottle, bought in Denmark. Not bad - not outstanding. Amber colour, malty sweetness in aroma and flavour, not very complex, a drinkable Christmas beer but no masterpiece.
