The colour is amber; the liquid is clear. The finger thick foam slowly sinks down t a off white compact head, leaving lots of lacing.
A malty sweet flavour dominates the quite strong smell. There are notes of bitter almonds, alcohol and rye bread.
The smooth taste got flavours of malt (some of it slightly roasted), hazel nuts, sweet almonds and a mild distinct bitterness. The aftertaste is creamy with notes of wholegrain wheat bread, pistachio nuts and a sweet hint of brown sugar.
The carbonation is a bit stronger than the average bock; the bubbles are medium sized. The liquid is very smooth.
Carlsberg makes a good Bock as a Christmas beer? Indeed they do.

Amber to light brown with a low beige head, decent carbonation and decent lace. Nice malty and grassy aroma; spicy malt notes with a butterscotch tone. Smotth soft malty and nutty flavor. Medium bodied, smooth and creamy.
Very enjoyable for a large brewer...
Per M.J. Notes: 16P (1064), 30 EBC (color), 35 IBU. Denmark Pilsner malt and German Caramel malt.
(11.2 oz bottle)

On the pour deep amber in color with the head modest in size and a light tan color, texture is semi-creamy as it disappears the lace forms a very thin sheet. The nose malt sweet, crisp and fresh, start is sweet with a fair malt presence, top is skeletal. Finish sparingly acidic with a quite nice hop presence and the aftertaste dry, leaves a lot to be desired in my Beer Book!

i'm asuming C47 is Carlsberg 47. Kind of sticky and syruppy mouthfeel, but lacks flavour anyhow. Everything from Carlsberg seems to have a similiar taste characteristic. This wasn't great.

An MJ Beer Tour selection that a lot of people whined about getting. Personally, I was happy to receive a clean, well-made, strong vienna lager. A load of malt and a nice dollop of german hops. Nice strength! Bzzzzzz Can't have too many, a little srypy.
