Copenhagen 31/5 2019. 75 cl bottle from Fakta, Lyngbyvej, Kbh Ø. The new design for Carlsberg's Jacobsen brand with a big flashy statue of Jacobsen and a lot orange, yellow, green and red.
Pours clear amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweetish, roasted and not very intense. It gets stronger as the beer warms up. Caramel, lightly roasted malts, toffee. Light odor of grass.
Light carbonation. Rather thin, lightly prickly texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Lingers for a bit.
They tell me on the label that it is brewed with passion. It is well made - but also a bit generic.

330 ml can, as Jacobsen Viva Classic!, from BilkaToGo, Skalborg. ABV is 5.5%, IBU 24. Gusher can. Reddish brown colour, small but lasting off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malts, caramel and some fruit. Medium bitter finish.

My girlfriend brought it home to me from the duty-free at the Copenhagen airport while on a trip to Europe in the summer of 2019. Probably the best Vienna Lager I've had, not that I've had too many. Highly carbonated, nice lacing on the glass. I had it a while ago so can't remember too many details, but I remember being impressed by it. Worth a try.
