An "extra luxurious lager with double as much of everything" according to the slogan on the label.

Observing the ABV gave indication of what was to come. This should be imbibed with complimentary hearty fare. The beer looks handsome in hue, malt is deep, sweet on nose but less than anticipated on palate. Overall, lacks body and not enough hops to balance heady sweetness which gets to you like 'old-lady perfume'. I erred by having a bottle and a half in hotel after a long day. I lay back on bed grasping bottle on abdomen. I woke three hours later in exact same position. Could be that this brew is a portal to time-travel! A drink for those committed to misadventure..................

Can served into Norrebro Bryghus stemware in Copenhagen. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a four finger head, soft and fluffy, but largely lacking in cream. Decently thick and of white colour. It retains for about two minutes. Colour is a clear yellow-gold. Semitransparent. Unappealing.
Sm: Musty cream and barley. A light strength aroma, and not a good one at that.
T: Creamy barley with some misplaced butterscotch on the climax. The barley is awful. Really a terrible taste all around. Some alcohol comes through on the finish. It's simply built in an awful way. I guess it manages to balance its crappy notes if that means anything.
Mf: Syrupy and thick. I guess they didn't want any coarseness or the demographic couldn't drink it, so they just thickened it to support the hops. It's smooth and wet. At least the disgusting body slides down more easily this way.
Dr: High ABV, cheap by Danish standards (aka mildly expensive), and not at all drinkable. Steer very very clear of this one. I only give a beer an F if it's watery, but this beer made me seriously consider amending that rule.

Drank from a bottle into a tulip...This beer pours straw gold with no head or lacing worth noting...The aroma and taste are both skunky, there is nothing masterful about this. Its really alcoholic too for 3.5% beer. The feel is super light and its really hard to drink.
this is one to skip for certain.

The beer pours with ample head that laces as the head resides. The color is a golden amber and the head is pale off-white. the smell is sweet and not dry as I would expect for a beer this strong. The taste is both dry and sweet and will require a clean palate for appreciation. This is definitely a craft brew that will take a golden tongue and nose to appreciate. Very nice surprise.

This beer has previously received horrible reviews, but I think it is actually not that bad. I come from an American beer-tasting background and this beer is far better than the Bud, Millers, or Coors specials you might find in the states.
A: Golden with no head
S: Smells of fruit and a faint bubble gum
T: Tastes of strong alcohol at first but it works its way to a sweet finish. Overall it is a dry beer.
M: Very smooth in the mouth
D: So strong at 10.5% ABV that it would be difficult to drink too much.

The beer pours with a large white head that sinks down to a uneven airy lid with some lacing. The colour of the liquid is medium deep golden.
The smell is watery. There are sweet notes of malt, a metallic bitterness and notes of putrid hay. It reminds me of concentrated feed for cows. Not a good sign.
The taste is very strong, almost all sweet malt and alcohol. Some notes of hay and cleaning agents. Maybe some bitter herbs, too. Wormwood? The aftertaste is unexpectedly weak with dry malt, chemical notes of bitter almonds and some distant hops. And more alcohol than in a vodka.
The carbonation is weaker than the average lager. Big bubbles.
I managed to drink 1 dl (3 oz) out of this bottle. The rest went to the drain.
Terrible stuff. As expected. Thats the way it goes when you just buy one-of each-bottle at a Danish supermarket.

While touring the city of Copenhagen and on our way to the Amalienborg (from the Nyhavn) we stopped at a small store where we purchased this beer and other carlsberg "specialties", because, well, we were in carlsberg land.
Oh boy was that a mistake.
The beer poured no warning looking just like your average "blah" lager. but the smell was an instant flashback at the times when Bavaria 12.3 was out of production but still being smuggled into colombia. Sweet enough to induce a gag reflex, with a terrible hop feel being overwhelmed by that feel in your nose you get when someone puts a piece of cotton with alcohol on your nose to wake you up.
Don't try this.

10.6% abv in a lager, this has got to be a joke? very, very sweet, and barely drinkable, the alcohol is way to evident in this brew.
