Copenhagen 28/11 2015. 33 cl can from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. NV. A lot of green, red and gold and a healthy amount of Christmas paraphernalia on the can.
Pours clear light copper brown with a white head. Stable. Settles as a flimsy layer of foam struggling t cover the surface of the beer. N lacing to speak of.
Aroma is sweetish. Caramel, toffee, cookies and a light touch of sourness.
Medium strong carbonation and watery palate. Lively texture.
Flavor is sweetish and follows the nose. Caramel, something roasted, a little metal - and a bit watery.

Labeled carlsberg christmas beer on the can but i have heard this is the alias for Jul in the British Market
A- I didnt look this up before i tried it so didnt know it was based on a marzen. Aggressive pour from the can into a seidel gave a rich copper body with a very thin rocky 2 finger head reducing to a whisper.
S- Lots of malt sweetness here in true marzen style, but also this faint spicey mustiness which i cant quite put my finger on
T- a nice full malt body sweetness, with perhaps a hint of cinnamon or ginger or something, not too sure, but that mustiness doesnt come through the taste. A short watery finish however which is disappointing
M- As mentioned slightly thin and watery but does have an ideal lively but not harsh carbonation
D- Fairly drinkable brew, if i was hard pushed to find anything else apart from macros then this would be quite adequate to drink at christmas time. Fairly enjoyed it but would have liked it to have more body and christmas character.

I thought this wasn't bad, had it on draught, pretty boring, but i still found it nice enough to drink, for a Christmas Brew its probably a bit underdone, pleasnt enough.
