A mild and round bodied beer inspired by the south german brewing style. A fresh taste with notes of pinetree and freshly baked bread. Suitable for a Danish Lunch, German schnitzel and sausages with knödel and gravy on the side or sour, salt and nutty cheeses.

Copenhagen 7/3 2021. 75 cl bottle from Irma, Smedetoften, Kbh. NV. Green version of Jacobsen’s new design with a drawing of a bust of J. C Jacobsen.
Pours almost clear golden amber with a big white head. Settles as thin almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet, malty odor mingling with a grainy sourness. Sweet pale malts, bread, caramel. Smell of alcohol lurking just beneath.
Strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate rough bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light boozy edge. Finish is dry and boozy.
Fine Bock with a fine boozy streak.
