In partnership with Menys Øllaug, Husbryggeriet Jacobsen and with Carlsberg Research Lab in the back seat, Jacobsen has brewed a full-fledged fruit bomb of a Double IPA – Jacobsen's first Double IPA, which with the right dishes makes the combination between beer and food go into the highest unity.
The hops that play first violin are a uniquely developed hop type at the Carlsberg Research Laboratory, which is so new that it does not yet have a name, and therefore a groundbreaking taste experience of the very greats.

Copenhagen 19/6 2024, 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Can in Jacobsen's usual design with a bust of the old brewer and some Hop flowers in the background.
Pours opaque golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, fermented odor of overripe fruits mingling with a more subdued scent of citrus fruit. Mango, passion fruit and bruised peach. Subtle lemon.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. A little rough. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Fruity indeed. Of the overripe variety.
