Copenhagen 10/6 2017. 44 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Presented as a kind of travling diary for Carl Jacobsen the founder of Carlsberg as he travelled the world to learn how to be a Brewer. Kind of strange as I remember Carlsberg as a rather conservative Brewery back in time sticking to pilsner, lager and the occasional strong beer.
Pours clear golden amber with small white head. Head settles as patchy thin layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is sourish with some straws and hay thrown in.
Medium strong carbonation and watery palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by some acidic sour stabs. Aftertaste is sourish. Seems quite ordinary but unbalanced. But then again.
it says on the label that Carl Jacobsen travelled abroad in order to learn hos to make decent beer. Not that he had mastered his Trade.
