Copenhagen 5/8 2017. 44 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Another feature in Carlsbergs feature about Carl Jacobsens exploits traveling around Europe. This time in Munich. Not the first time that a Bock is presented under the Carl’s brand (in a paler version). But maybe he visited Munich a lot.
Pours clear deep maroon with off-white head. Settles as 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is strong and sweetish with caramel, lightly roasted malts and brown sugar. Not much evidence of the decent ABV.
Medium strong carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is heavy sweet. Almost no bitterness present. Aftertaste is sweet, slightly sugary and lightly roasted.
So sweet that I would recommend it as a dessert.
