Copenhagen 16/10 2015. 50 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Red and white label in Carlsberg Carl's Selection brand design.
Pours clear reddish, dark brown with a small white head. Stable. Settles as a thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Sweetish aroma. A little caramel and blackcurrant. Whiff of alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation and oily palate. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is sweet caramel and raisins followed by a quite bitter aftertaste with something burnt mixing in. You can taste the alcohol as well with a metallic tang.
Not a bad extension of the Carl's product line.
