Deep amber color. Slightly sweet banana and clove aroma. Malty rich taste with a sweet malty pleasant aftertaste. Hard to tell it is high abv so lookout. Very balanced hops. Not bitter.

On tap at Mahogany Ridge in Steamboat Springs, CO; poured into a tulip.
Appearance - crimson with a thin off-white head that leaves adequate lacing.
Smell - caramel, toasty malts, and a slight hint of spice.
Taste - caramel and biscuit malts; a touch of dark fruit sweetness.
Feel - medium to light body, which for a 9.5% ABV Barley Wine, this shouldn't be. It came off a bit watered down.
Overall - a decent enough brew, but I'd like more character.
