My point of reference is Founder's Blushing Monk, a semi-tart Belgian-style ale brewed with cherries. Charlie's Cherry Ale is actually a Lager, from what I remember the waiter testifying, and it's much more muted in the cherry sense than Blushing Monk, but still refreshing on an 80-degree day.
