Excellent porter. Not much aroma but a full taste of chocolate and malt with a mild bitterness. A little bit of lacy foam head that lasts. Mild slightly sweet aftertaste.

On Tap poured into a clear Pint Glass at the Brewery.
Paired with a veggie burger, this was my girlfriend's choice at our first trip to the local Steamboat brewery. This was listed on the menu as an English Porter, to my taste it was more similar to a smoked imperial or baltic porter, but I will list it as they have.
L: Jet black with a transparent brown around the edges. 1 finger foam head. Actually looks pretty ok.
S: Pretty shallow in the nose. Sort of subtly mealy roasted malt middle, with no real depth. No finish.
T: Just like the nose, shallow. Tiniest bit of mealy malts, but again ... no finish, no complexity. Best I can say for the mouth is that it doesn't offend outside of it's blandness.
F: Watery, under-carbonated ... in a word ... kind of gross ... ok, that was 3 words ... but gross was too strong a word without some manner of qualification. It was smooth in its water-loggedness ...
D: Meh. Just nothing happening here, nothing to get excited about.
