The 2017 Vintage of Sour Project is a completely different beer from the first in the series. While the 2016 saw time in wine barrels, 2017 Sour Project was fermented and conditioned completely in stainless. Fermented initially with our house Belgian yeast strain, then transferred to the Funk House where it was then inoculated with Brettanomyces and dry-hopped with Mosaic, Simcoe, and Melba hops.
The result is a beer with very subtle acidity, layered with complex notes of hay, pineapple, and funk. Finishing very dry, Sour Project Vintage 2017 clocks in at 4.5% ABV and is a pleasure to drink.
