Black color, thin, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate and vanilla. Moderate roasted bitterness in taste. Closer to dry finish. Decent.

Poured a deep black hue with a one finger foamy off white head. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured moderate roasted malt, with dry patent malts and a touch coffee.
The taste was upfront roasted and black malts, with a slight smokiness and dry coffee.
The mouthfeel was toward the cleaner side of the style.
Overall a tasty, simple and easy drinking stout.

Served on nitro tap at the brewery.
Appearance: Quarter inch head, very light brown. Average length of stay for a stout. Very dark brown color, average for the style.
Nose: Very reserved, but had all the markers of stout: chocloate and mocha, with hints of nut and a definite bitterness. However, pretty relaxed nose with nothing too showy.
Palate: Very low carbonation, as expected. Roasted coffee and nuts, bitter chocolate and hints of nut on the mid-palate. Not too complex however. Again, average for the style. Mouthfeel is moderate to thin, making the stout drinkable but leaves you asking for some more complexity. Easy to drink, but not a real thriller. Average.

Had at the brewery. Generally dark brown appearance with no real head. Aromas had some good smells such as coffee, caramel, chocolate, malts, nuts. Taste-wise was a bit weak. A little too light and airy. Maintained crucial flavors such as a mocha-like roast but I was surprised by its lack of "stout"-ness. This goes along with its mouthfeel which does help its flavors out but not its body. Overall, a bit weak.

It was a warm spring day, but couldn't resist a good ol' stout. It poured a very dark brown with a light brown head. Slightly translucent. Aroma was excellent; super-chocolatey and coffee mixed with a solid amount of bitter nuts.
The taste isn't quite as complex as the aroma, but still is quite good. Unsweetened chocolate, roasted nuts, a solid hop bitterness, and an enjoyable aftertaste. Mouthfeel is a touch thin, but not bad. Overall this is a quality stout.
