Was supposed to drink this with my ex girlfriend, but seemed like the right time to go cellar diving and pull this gal out.
I poured into their (Adirondack) snifter.
The appearance was a golden yellow color with a quickly dissipating semi-foamy head. No lace was left.
The aroma was well balanced between shoe leather, lemon pulp, super small whiff of cream and smooth sweet wood.
The flavor leaned towards a dry woody sweet inoculated sort of Belgian yeasty creamy tones. Some apple cider vinegar, but mostly quaint. Quick aftertaste of Belgian yeast, apple cider vinegar, shoe leather and lemon pulp.
The mouthfeel was between medium and full bodied with a kind sipping quality about it. Good carbonation. Dry leathery smoothness along my tongue. Tricky finish of creamy tones but masking some leathery dryness.
Overall, wish I would have had this with my girlfriend. RIP, Cherae! Until we meet again. As far as I know, this is an awesome beer!
