Dark brown velvety appearance with a limited sticky tan head that recedes quickly to a collar, light lacing. Bourbon, chocolate, fig, molasses. Medium body, medium carbonation.

Had on tap at the brewery. Pours opaque, dark brown in color with minimal head. Taste is barrel, raisin, plum, and dark bread. Heavy body, moderate-high carbonation, sweet. I don't usually like barrel aged beer as much but this is very good. the barrel does not dominate the Belgian tastes and the base beer is very tasty. The beer is multi-layered and really opens up as it warms. A very pleasant surprise.
