Prost! We at Adirondack Brewery sought out to create one of the best traditional Oktoberfests in New York State. The lightly sweet, bready malt character is the perfect compliment for Weisswurst, Knackwurst, Bratwurst, Bockwurst...you get the point. Zicke zacke, zicke zacke, hoi hoi hoi!

A caramel, amber and light copper, minimal head and lace that dissipates halfway through.
At first, fruity in the nose, I'm thinking apples or something harvest like. Then, mostly clean and a bit of toasted malts.
Clean taste, mostly bready. Less malt forward than other oktoberfests, with more of a hops presence and finish.
Fairly light bodied and easy to drink.
Overall, a decent brew but nothing extraordinary.

Poured fresh filled growler from the brewery into a pint glass
A- Robust Amber with a copper hue. Creamy antique white head.
S- Toasty, malty, bready, multi-grain Cheerios, sweet, sugar
T- Simple, clean, bread, malty, brown sugar, hint of hops
M- Creamy, yet clean, refreshing, lightly carbonated
O- Overall, this is a pretty good Oktoberfest. It's similar to Sam Adams' version in terms of style, but with a more subdued taste. I find the malt backbone in the Sam Adams' version a bit too bold, where this one seems to fit better for my taste.

A: Pours a stark clear, deep amber body with a small white bubbly head. Spotty lacing, but nice head retention for the most part.
S: Nothing too complex, just sweet toasted caramel malts.
T: Nice Munich malts play a big player in this flavor. Loads of toasted malts, caramel, some of hoppy bitterness, and a hint of citrus gives it a nice clean finish.
M: Light to medium body; mild carbonation; clean and crisp mouthfeel.
O: I've had this several times in the past week and really enjoy it. One of the better Oktoberfest I've had. Definitely one of their better beers and worth drinking this season if you have the chance. Very easy to drink, great flavor, and follows the style very well!
