Crisp, dry, and endlessly refreshing, this Japanese-inspired Rice Lager brings together tradition and innovation in every sip. Brewed with a base of German Pilsner malt, a blend of flaked rice and whole grain Calrose rice, and a touch of white Koji, this beer develops a delicate acidity that enhances its clean, snappy finish.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week glass. Pours a light golden amber with a four finger white head that slowly dissipates to a thick cap with moderate lacing. Aroma of pale pilsner malt, lightly citrus hops and a mild citric tartness. Flavor is pale pilsner malt, citrus hops, lemon citrus and a light spiciness; mostly dry finish with mild sweetness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Interesting rice lager brewed with Koji. The start of the taste is a slightly sweet lager flavor with citrus notes, but it finishes fairly dry and leaves a light aftertaste of sake, which in which Koji is used for brewing. I tastes mostly as lager, but that aftertaste gives it an interesting exotic character. Crispy and different. This seems to be the only beer brewed by this small brewer at this time. Quality start.
