Brought straight from Belgium as a gift from a family member. Part of a multi brand pac.
Poured into an Averbode gift chalice
Appearance: Rich coppery colour, 1 inch head on the pour, but dissipates quickly
Aroma:Spicy fruit very inviting
Taste:Crisp on first tasting, mellows rapidly, but still retains a sharp little bite that goes away quickly
Feel: Seems a bit thinner on the mouthfeel than it looks like in the glass. In the glass it looks like a thicker swirl. This is not a bad thing. It looks luscious but is a bit thinner in the drinking.
Overall: I would go for another immediately, but it's only available in Canada in Quebec, so too far for me!

L- Deeper amber, pours clears with loads of fasting rising CO2 into a 2-3Cm off-white head. [ps 10mins later, holds very well].
S- Belgian yeast, hoppy-dry with light spice notes.
T- Quite dry, bready, with a brush of mild spicing on the palate into the finish. The taste comes together as a whole nicely.
F- Hoppy-dry yet with an underlying richness. Mine is straight from the fridge and very well chilled, enjoyed again I'd try this one without a hard chill on, I'd expect it to open up further.
O- Very nice beer, solid and yet not over-weighty... if I could buy this for less $ I could imagine enjoying slow-sippin' a few of these across a session.
Bought from BeersOfEurope/UK for home delivery. 330ml bottle. BB: 10/06/2021.

Appearance: Blonde body, very light haze to it, decent head on initial pour.
Aroma: Quite fruity, lots of alcohol given it is only 6%. Very similar to the tripel in the same range.
Taste: Quite sharp on initial sip, grows into a malty fruit on the tongue, which does linger into an appealing aftertaste.
Feel: That sharpness from the initial taste comes from the gas in this beer, it practically fizzes on the tongue.
Overall: A solid blonde, better than a Leffe, but worthy of a world beer award winner, no!
