Deep red color, with a cappuccino-colored head, creamy and rather well elegant (a few bubbles on the first pour).
A distinctly malty start, with candied sugar and yeast in the foreground (then light red fruit).
On the palate, it's decidedly less good than on the nose. Still malt and sugar, not very elegant, too sweet, with notes of overripe fruit, and an annoying fizziness.
Mouthfeel not very elegant and persistent, with this annoying fizziness that ruining the whole thing.

L- Very deep ruby chestnut, pours clear (sediment left in bottle) with 1.5Cm pale tan head. It looks lovely, and 15mins post-pour is holding very well.
S- I'm a bit surprised to find it very mild, esp given it's pretty meaty look. I do sense one facet but too subtle to ID.
T- Ah yes, here we go, into a deep sense of well roasted/stewed/baked fruits. That's followed by a balancing flourish of hops into the finish.
F- How to describe, it's quite bold taste, quite punchy feel and yet quite moderate ABV. [I sit supping and wondering...] - Perhaps that's it, The 3 * 'quite' s all balance out?
O- It's a lovely beer, it would be a good one to blind-taste-challenge friends on!
