December 2015: 250 ml bottle, from Prima Beer. BB date 29.01.15. ABV is 5%. Clear amber colour, low head, slightly off-white. Moderate aroma, hints of mild spices, malts and caramel. The flavour is fairly fresh and fruity, medium dry, hints of mild spices and caramel again, som hops in the finish, but the bitterness is still very moderate. Easy drinking, nice enough.

Bottle poured into a Speciale 1900 goblet in Ghent, Belgium. Reviewed from notes.
A: No real head at all. Amber colour.
Sm: Very light amber hops. That's it. A bit bland.
T: Amber malts, hops, and a simple barley only finish. Balanced but hardly bold. Built decently I guess. This beer was quite a disappointment.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Complements the body in a general way.
Dr: Drinkable, but rather average. Well priced by Belgian standards, but fairly low ABV.

Nose gently malty and sweet. Simple enough in taste, just a little sugar and candied to boost a little mouth. Still quite malty flavor. Finally, more pleasant than Martin's Pale Ale but less grassy. Finally, it is more than one average copy of the Bass. Fairly easy to drink but a fairly blatant lack of flavor.

This might be my favorite Haact beer, though that's not a tought statement to make. Found on-tap in Ghent at the town's smallest cafe. This beer tastes like what Blue Moon is trying to be. There's a rich (but not too heavy) fruity berry and melon taste followed by a mix of Belgian spice and finishing with dry biscuit malts. Delicous. I think I might go back and have another.
