Here is a beer that is reputed to only be available at a "Brasserie" directly across from the brouwereij. The reason is that it has such a short shelf life that it will only last 48 hours. Since this is the official Brew Store, this is available as long as the supply lasts.
Pours cloudy with a yellow color that has a touch of green to it. The head is modest, but it lasts and leaves decent ring lace as the beer is consumed.
This beer smells like the spent yeast from a brewery--not stale, but similar to freshly spilled beer.
There's a surprising hop presence I didn't detect in the smell. This lasts through the finish. There is a subtle exposure to the yeast flavors, despite the name Gist (meaning yeast). A very easy to drink beer.
