This was a very pleasant surprise--it turned out to be my favorite beer of the Haacht line.
Pale yellow grain color and nearly clear. Fluffy head which leaves some spotty lace.
The smell is of fresh grains. It is a pleasant, soft aroma of nutty fruitiness as if from freshly spent malts at a brewhouse.
I would describe this as a superior pilsner with all of the lighter grain flavors expected. It does have a higher alcohol content (6.5%). Rich bodied with an appropriate level of carbonation. The flavor is of pale malts and some newly mowed grasses. There is also a strong hop presence that provides excellent balance to this beer.
