Appears light translucent gold in color with a small layer of white foam on top.
It smells a bit floral like. I also get a fairly strong bit of an earthy fresh pepper smell. Though it does not smell to hot or spicy. There is also a mild grainy presence to the smell.
It tastes initially a bit grainy and floral like. The floral flavor lasts for only a second though. Following the floral flavor is a brutal kick of hot spicy pepper flavor. There is a bit of an earthy fresh pepper flavor but the beer is mostly just spicy and hot. I love hot foods and have a high tolerance for hot foods and can say that this was very spicy. It was the hottest Chile beer I have had and the lightest one as well.
The carbonation was moderate high and the beer had a crisp mouthfeel to it.
The drinkability is limited as this is pretty spicy.
Overall a very good example of a Chile beer. I liked that the beer was very light and did not have an overbearing earthy or smoky flavor some pepper beers have. I think this would be a great beer to cook with.
