This is their Honigbock a German Helles Bock brewed with honey extensively aged on calvados barrels. This led to a tart almost flat experience that reminds a lot about calvados but dry and tart and also a lot from the barrel itself. alcoholic. I drank it over the course of ten days out of a 0.75l swing top bottle. It was very consistend and quite enjoyable. Though, the result was more interesting than really great to justify the high price. (3.66)
This time I got a version that was aged on Raboso (red wine barrels) with Brett called "Wildbrett". This time I enjoy it much more. The overwhelming honey character is nicely balanced by the tartness. had to readjust the score. Also thankfully there is carbonation and this made it much more drinkable.
