Bought the half liter bottle with the swing top at the brewery in Ried. Poured it into my Weihenstephaner Hefeweizen-glass. Left some yeast in the bottle.
massive fine and coarse light beige foam of epic proportions. some mm foam remain stable on the surface and lacing on the glass. body is a murky dark copper with some carbonation visible.
lots of sweet banana and clove
darker malts join banana followed by some acidity, light hop bitterness at the end
typical light hefeweizen body, carbonation is also according to style maybe below average.
Nice Dunkelweizen with strong aromas. malt sweetness is balanced with acidity and there is even some pleasant bitterness. This is really a good one, everything is there, but somehow I think it could be more harmonious, maybe acidity is a notch too strong and sweetness too low.
