Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Very closely resembles a glass of cola. Dark brown-red, clear with a fleeting patch of pale tan bubbles.
S- Mild, I just get some richness from it.
T- It's certainly errr... malty but strangely sweetish too (sugary rather than more complex malts). That dominates all. There is a very light dry note in the finish but I'm unsure if it's CO2 or hops; otherwise the hops don't seem to show themselves.
F- Close to being one-dimensional.
O- I don't wish to be negative but this beer is a real surprise. The redesigned lable suggests a beer with a deep pedigree and good quality but alas that's not what I'm finding. There is something lacking here; is it an adjunct? It seems something structural and core like that is going on...
I only consider 'sinking' about 1 in 250 beers ... this is at high risk of heading down that way...
Review2034/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the lables to see what I missed! ==> No ingredients listed, but they've been brewing for 600 years ... who knows but at 1/2-way through I've had enough.
500ml bottle BB: 25/09/21 £2.40 Bought from TremblingMadness, York/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
