L- Quite dark amber, slightly cloudy (it's unfiltered), pours with a nice looking 10mm creamy looking just off-white head. (10mins later holds well).
S- Smells mildly like a German Weiss-bier, pleasant.
T- It has nice hopping, again a parallel of a Weisse but a bit more pronounced. It lacks the spicy notes the latter has.
F- It's refreshing but for 5.1% it feels a bit thin to me, maybe due to the relatively prominent hops? The carbonation in the mouth is very good too, but with the malts being quite shy it seems to mean I get a slighty 'CO2/carbonic' facet too.
O- Might be nice in high summer, rather than my current deep winter. TBH I'd probably enjoy a trad German Weisse more than this, for example Augustiner. For me the Taste is a bit indistinct and the Feel is a bit lacking too. Interesting to try but it's mid-winter and I'd like a beer with a bit more oomph! thatn this one.
500ml bottle, bought from TremblingMadness/York for delivery as part of a DIY-pick case to London. BB: 10/05/2021.
Not one I'd buy again.
