12oz bottle into a pint glass
no bottling dates

A: Murky, nearly opaque golden copper with 2 fingers width of tan colored head. Decent retention, lots of lacing. 3.5

S: Mostly citrus, subtle pine, lots of sweetmalts. Hops seem quite faded. 3.25

T: Similar to the nose its citrus and pine. Fair amount of sweet malt. Some booze. 3.5

M/D: Fuller bodied, carbonation appropriate, a bit boozy tasting for the style, drinkability is average. 3.5

O: Ok, but nothing special. Definitely for a good cause though. 3.5

Pours a deep copper with an off-white caramel head. Head dissipated to about 1/8 inch of foam. Fresh aroma of grassy hops.

Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side with plenty of prickly carbonation. Taste is very hop forward, mostly pine/herbal hops. Bitterness lingers after each sip.

I prefer a more citrusy IPA but if you're into the piney style, this is your huckleberry. Not a bad offering from Palmetto and nice to see something different from them.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a copper color and a clear consistency. There was a small amount of foamy head that quickly dissipated. Pretty good lacing.

S: A decent aroma of hops, malt, and a little caramel.

T: Tasted of hops (a surprisingly large amount), pine, and caramel malt. At first, the hops content seems a little bracing, but levels off after awhile. Not a bad flavor.

M: A good amount of carbonation with a somewhat harsh, bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

O: Homefront is definitely a more aggressive beer than Palmetto puts out. It's a solid, hops-forward brew that gets better the more you drink it.
