A: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had an amber color and a clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy head that lasted an average amount of time. Pretty good lacing.

S: A somewhat muted aroma of malt, chiles and little bit of hops.

T: Tasted of chiles, malt, light hops, and a little bit of fruit. While there is some chile flavoring here, it's not quite enough to be effective. It's a little one dimensional. Could have been better.

M: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: This is one of those beers that simply isn't pushed far enough. Not undrinkable, but not memorable either.

Appearance - Pours light amber color with off white head that quickly dissipates.

Aroma - Peppers stand out first, light citrus orange and some grapefruit light malt and caramel notes.

Taste - There is alot of heat at first, maybe some light malts I cannot really tell the peppers just over power too much.

Feel - Hot, just alot of heat on the front and end and middle. Lingering heat.

Overall - The aroma was promising, I was hoping for a light heat with other flavors but there is nothing but hot peppers.

I've had other chile beers before but this is the first pale ale.

Pours an amber color. No much head but sticky lacing

Smell- very sweet citrus

Taste- initially it taste like a citrusy pale ale, only takes about ten seconds for the chiles to kick in. Mild slow burn begins on the tongue, then the thought, down to the stomach, followed by a burn on the lips as well. Nothing super intense bit you know the child's are there

Feel- thick, sticky

Really enjoyed this beer and glad I'm in a main distribution area for It

Not sure what it is but i looove this beer. I haven't had it in a while, since the piggly wiggly on Maybank and Folly shut down. Not really and spice to the taste, but the smeel is greta and the flavor is just of a very drinkable ipa. Hope to see it again soon!

Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass. No freshness date.

A: Slightly hazy orange with 1-finger oatmeal colored head with decent retention and a band of lacing near the top of the glass.

S: Low amount of herbal, floral hops, light orange citrus with earthy roasted green/jalapeno pepper and some medium caramel malt.

T: THe base pale ale is average at best with an earthy overall impression with honeysuckle, floral, and light grapefruit/orange citrus with medium caramel and tingle of pepper heat that is balanced and not over the top. THe chile nuance is done well but the base beer is weak sauce. Bitterness is low.

M: Slick and oily with medium body and moderate carbonation.

O: Nothing too great here -- a better base beer is needed -- but their application of chile is well-done.

Poured out as a bright orange color with a very thin retention and no lacing. The smell of the beer is a little on the funky side, some pepper on the nose but nothing too significant. The taste is lightly hoppy with a pepper kick in the finish. The mouthfeel is oily with a sharp carbonation. Overall not the best chili beer out there, wouldn't seek this out again.

BOD 8/21/17 Medium amber pour with a light ruby cast. Outstanding head volume, normal lacing and quite outstanding retention.

Light floral notes and even lighter citrus make up the background of the nose. The main driver is pepper, but not over poweringly so. Intensity is light overall, thus only a slightly below average score.

The body is light. What it lacks in weight, it more than makes up with in heat. The carbonation / body balance is outstanding. Effervescence is moderate mid-palate but the finish is finely bubbled and prickly.

The flavor profile is heat with a touch of herbal and citrus hops in the middle. The hops are able to make an appearance due to a soft sweetness that arrives mid-palate. Then...Lucifer himself arrives riding a wave of ghost pepper heat. The pepper flavor is a nice addition but never makes it to the forefront. Search for it shortly after mid-palate. Because...three quarters of the way through, the flame thrower arrives and everything else is dead to your palate. This, however, is a chile beer and the ghost peppers make their presence known. Consequently, the flavor profile is very good and I need ice water.
