Cask pour at The Old Toad in Rochester, NY.
Pours a golden dark amber, with a tight one inch head, and lots of lacing down the glass. Classic cask look.
Smells like grassy hops, biscuity malts, and a little bit of pepper in the background.
Tastes great, one of the best cask beers I've ever had. Spicy, peppery, grassy hops, with some caramel/honey sweetness, and a bit of slow pepper burn in the back. The pepper is subtle, but definitely noticeable, and is a nice addition.
Great, classic cask mouthfeel. Lightly carbonated, creamy, just magical. Very drinkable.
This was a homerun.
